hey acrux, good job, mate!

rushing to download it now. also, don't be sorry about xorg - at least with 2.6.31.x we will have officially KMS & TTM needed for the radeons, so my forecast is that things will improve dramatically on the xorg/mesa front within the lifespan of this crux revision - remember, mesa 7.7 is coming out for chirstmas! : )

hi Martin,

as you'll see after your first ports update we already are on the bleeding edge and 100% ready for gallium3d radeon and nouveau therefore for the next 2.6.33 linux kernel too.
Code:
libdrm 2.4.16-trunk-20091217-1
mesa3d 7.7-rc3-1
xorg-server 1.7.3.901-1
xorg-xf86-video-ati 6.12.99-trunk-20091216-1
xorg-xf86-video-nouveau 0.0.10-trunk-20091217-1
Code:
[99%][H] root@hermes:~# uname -a
Linux hermes 2.6.32.1 #1 PREEMPT Tue Dec 15 21:41:50 CET 2009 ppc 7447A, altivec supported PowerBook6,7 GNU/Linux
[99%][H] root@hermes:~# lsmod|grep radeon
radeon 546980 0
ttm 41789 1 radeon
drm_kms_helper 24007 1 radeon
drm 137823 3 radeon,ttm,drm_kms_helper

But aujourd'hui i'm unable to have DRM enabled on my own iBook G4.

well, i've just now tried with a fresh new and well tuned linux-2.6.33-rc1.
I've got a full working framebuffer console (it uses the new radeon_fb driver included into DRM one) and Xorg starts with DRI enabled. Xorg seems to be stable in 2D but freezes with glxgears.
