Has anyone tried the new shadowing and transparency features in xorg?

I tried, using this guide:

but it's very slow! Can't move any window.... On the PC side I had the same problem with a NVIDIA card, but it was solved with the RENDER on option. Is there any special option for Radeon cards? This is my Device section:

Also, after activating "Composite", transparency on fluxbox stopped working....

To activate the RENDER extension add the following section:

Code:

Section "Extensions"

        Option "RENDER"    "Enable"

EndSection

It's still painfully slow on my box. Even though the new Radeon driver is supposed to support RENDER on my core.
