Hello,

I am trying to build a kernel for efika mx using the (I guess) standard procedure:
put kernel sources from github to
/usr/src/linux (which is a symlink to /usr/src/efika)

then cd into /usr/src/linux, execute ./make-deb.sh

It stops very early during the build with this message:
debian/ruleset/misc/checks.mk:36: *** Error. I do not know where the kernel image goes to [kimagedest undefined] The usual case for this is that I could not determine which arch or subarch this machine belongs to. Please specify a subarch, and try again.. Stop.
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/efika'
make: *** [debian/stamp/conf/minimal_debian] Error 2
Failed to create a ./debian directory: at /usr/bin/make-kpkg line 984.

What am I doing wrong?

Best regards

Hi.

Have a look at the Debian Wiki for instructions:

You can also look at the wiki page I just wrote recently at http://library.powerdeveloper.net/index ... ild_Debian

The make-deb.sh file is there for cross-compiling. If you're building it on the Efika MX itself, you just need to remove the --arch portion of the line.
