Hi guys, while preparing a new image, on which I wanted to emphasize on performance, I wrote a small tips list, which I used and found useful. While not all are about performance, they are about minimizing memory usage, which in turn optimizes performance as there is less swapping. I wrote this small guide on the Debian wiki, which is just a start -it helped save more than 150MB of RAM compared to a plain Gnome desktop, which is a major issue on the Efikas, it just increased my productivity on the platform! Thank you for the tips! And the new image is also great news. I spent a couple of hours on it today, but I was unable to fully upgrade the old image. |
