Hello all, I just made available a 2.6.11 debian/powerpc kernel at : http://people.debian.org/~luther/powerpc/2.6.11-0.1 Well, it is not yet ready for upload to debian, and we are still working on it, but i would appreciate feedback on it already if possible. Friendly, Sven Luther |

Great! Thank you very much! I check and report I made a 2.6-10 on debian a week ago, but it'll be replaced today |

Aaargh! I think I somehow messed up my mkvmlinuz-installation.... It doesn't produce a useable "z" for now.... Sorry will have to fix that first... BTW my selfmade 2.6.10 is a zImage.chrp which works out of the box... Sorry for maybe stupid question, but why not always use the zImage instead of the "patched" vmlinu,-x,-z"? kind regards, Marcel |

Cheers, again! OK, I made a vmlinuz (5994436 bytes): Are special kernel-parameters or additional packages needed? I tried it on 2 different debians with following error-messages: ----------------- pivot_root: no such file or directory /sbin/init:424 cannot open dev/console No such file.... kernel-panic - not syncing: Attended to kill init <0> Reboot in 180 seconds... ------------------ (I wrote the output per hand, so there may be some writing mistakes ) |
