Did anyone try to boot up EFIKA from image that is USB flash bootable?

Hi.

Yes, I have done that a couple of times in the past. It's rather slow though, and in the end I settled for a IDE to CF adapter instead.

Hi.

Since the Gentoo Wiki lost their database, I can point you to their back-up:

This will help you find the right firmware commands.
I still have my older Efika images here:
http://robotics.puv.fi/efika/ (including a small one)

You can extract these on a ext2 formatted USB flash drive. (you still need a kernel too, but I suppose you have one?)
