It seems I am unable to hear sounds in my efika using the new Debian image (xfce).

I tried installing pulseaudio, to no avail. On the very same videos, sound worked with the old debian image (gnome).

I tried mplayer, totem, xine and vlc.

What am I missing? What's the way to test wheter everything is ok?

i guess it's an EfikaMX Smartbook.

As root start 'alsamixer' then press 'F6' to change soundcard settings to 'imx-3stack'. Now simply unmute 'Speaker' .
