Yes. :)

From our end, Peter pushed hard for this. These two projects will certainly go ahead:

http://projects.powerdeveloper.org/project/imx515/733

Here is some other news from the mailing list:

- Debian Lenny @ ARM is accessable
- ARM schedulers are on
- the first ARM repos have been activated
- some 20+ packages have build successfully for ARM

Solid progress is being made for openSUSE on ARM.

R&B :)

The openSUSE Build Service is now ready for ARM.

Jan-Simon Möller posted this to [opensuse-project] GSoC introduction - openSUSE@ARM earlier this week...

My Project in short: openSUSE@ARM

My aim during GSoC 2009 is to port first the base to the ARM platform. Then KIWI needs also some attention when it comes to imaging and after that the tools, Kernel and X11.

Full speed ahead!

R&B :)

The Mer project (Maemo + additional hw targets) also uses now the OBS with a quite good quick start guide:

Todays build service status update brought us some good news:

- build/testing openSUSE @ ARM linux kernel 2.6.29 from openSUSE:Factory with updated Factory toolchain

- submitrequest for additions to glibc for ARM to openSUSE:Factory

These in practice mean, that the ARM port is no more a fork of factory patched to work on ARM, as these patches are getting integrated into the main development branch.
