I won an Efika MX Smarttop (http://www.genesi-usa.com/products/efika) at Android Only. I have bought a HDMI cable and connected it to my 37" Andersson TV. Booting Ubuntu works fine except that I cannot see the edges of the display (guess that's a problem with the TV). The TV recognizes the resolution as 1280x720.

If I insert the accompanying SD-card (Android) I can see its content in Ubuntu. However, when I boot the device with the SD-card inserted nothing happens. The TV screen is just black and no sound from the speakers.

Any idea what could be wrong or how to solve this?

Thanks,
Adam

Hi

The default resolution is 1024x768 on the sd card. There will be a update later this week that installs to ssd and will default to 720p

Are there images available to use with the smarttops?

Did you get my email? I emailed you through the forum email button. Otherwise I don't know what email address to use to email you.

Hi,

The email was received. I'm not sure if the request was processed yet, but I wanted to confirm that we'd received it.

So, is it limited or is there criteria? I was really looking forward to running Android on one of the smarttops that I bought (I bought 2). As of yet I've heard nothing past this original exchange.

Hi, we have the image available, but it is shortly to be accessible without a login/pswd as it has been updated. Please stand by...

We're still waiting. I've had my smarttops (two of them) for a couple of months at this point. I would love to run Android on them. Any news?
