Hi.

I tried Ubuntu 7.04 and now (cause of a new harddrive) Ubuntu 7.10 on my Peg2.

With both versions I have trouble with the onboard-LAN. Sometimes it works great for up to an hour, sometimes the browser (firefox or opera) or the whole desktop chrashed after a minute. I also had trouble while installing. I need several times.

If I only use OpenOffice or Gimp everything works great with no problems.

Someone told me, that this is a problem with the kernel-driver. I used the kernels from genesi.hu .

Im a Linux-Newbie and couldnt make a new kernel.

Someone got a solution ?

The problem is solved. It worked for me now.

Because my Pegasos was often transported there was a contact-problem on my CPU-board. After fastening the CPU again, everthing worked fine.
