We notice a few really good posts lately. We wanted a way to recognize the effort it takes to make a meaningful comment. It takes time to contribute and we appreciate it.  What do you think? The really good ones will get one of these:  We will even start a special section in the side columns highlighting these Power Posts.  As usual, André did a great job. Thanks André! R&B

I like the idea. It will help mark relevant/meaningful posts so they are more noticeable. Some questions though: Will a thread that contains these types of posts be marked in some way so that we can find them from looking at the sub-forum index of threads? |

I believe this is an absolutely amazing idea. I think that every step taken to make this a more active, encouraging community is a step well needed. PPCZone is really starting to take form; already, definate "regulars" dominate the forum, and a definitive social group has formed around this core nucleus of users. By rewarding those who contribute to this growth, we can continue to advance said growth. I wish you the best in this endeavour, and hope to see the results in the near future. |

good idea but how about this for an idea. depending on the number of power posts per month and votes from members, there could be a "power poster" for each month which would highlight very adept community members. |

I don't like any kind of reward for a certain number of posts. Posting comments like "wow!" "OMG!" "I agree!" really adds nothing to the discussion. If the Power Poster only would be rewarded based on the content quality - I'm all for the idea. Quantity almost never mean quality. |

naturally it would on post content not count. otherwise we'd end up with a "spamming contest" with some people posting "+1" and the mods dishing out bans for "excessive" spamming |
