the title says it all, you can download this great browser here :

http://www.opera.com/download/?platform=linux

i noticed it's much faster than Firefox on our little Peggies. I'm using it right now on Ubuntu Dapper (i used the debian sid .deb package to install it).

I found pervious versions Opera to generally be faster than Firefox. I have found some websites that brought Opera to its knees and Firefox was hardly bothered.

I'm interested to see how 9.0 handles.

I just went to the site and installed it, but it had conflicts when it finished. Now when I try to run it from the menu it does nothing. I looked in the package manager and I cant find it to remove it now. Any idea how I can get it off to clear it? I hate having items on my system that do not work!
