Post subject:  FreeDarwin, a BSD for PowerPC

If you're reading daily news from IT world you may notice that there's new FOSS player. For now, there's first pre-release. The Name? FreeDarwin. Maybe we could have a BSD UNIX that Just Works for the PowerPC CPU?

On his site he states that HW is needed. C'mon, who will send his Pegasos? :-)

I would rather see FreeBSD on Pegasos, as I'm pretty much used to that on PC.

Yeah, but that's a start. Maybe this will incrase chances of getting some BSD on OF platform.

Hello,
As I already wrote in another thread, FreeBSD is already ported to PPC, just needs to be adopted to the Pegasos way of OpenFirmware. So, it's not a fresh start.
