Pegasos User Group, Sweden (PUGS) will arrange another PUSH event. We will host it at the same place as before -
Wartagården in Gothenburg, Sweden.

The house is booked to the May 1st weekend (April 28th to May 1st - Friday evening to Monday).
We will start on Friday evening at 20.00 CET but we understand if most of you can't show up before Saturday.

PUSH has been mostly a PowerPC event previous times but this time we focus on all alternative platforms and OSes.
As long as you comply with Windows Free Zone you are welcome! :)

More information will follow on Pegasos.org but mark the date in your calendar: 28/4 to 1/5 2006.

Genesi will provide an official representative, as well as a demo and perhaps some special handouts for this event.

We are pushing for PUSH!

R&B :)

It is now less than a month until PUSH 2006.1 starts. This
time we will probably be more people than ever. The
price is the same (200 SEK) but we arrange the party
over four days (Friday evening to Monday afternoon).
Since Monday is May 1st most people are off-work we
rented the house for this day aswell.

The party will take place at Wartagården where previous
parties have been. It's a good house with everything
we need. This time we welcome everyone running anything
besides Microsoft Windows(tm)
. This is no longer a
Pegasos/PowerPC-only event.

We welcome HJOLUG, who for the first time will show
up with more than just one person. :-)

Remember, the 200 SEK price is for everyone who has signed
up its interest
. Also, the registration is not binding -- it's
just a way for us to know how many tables and chairs
we need. If you cannot come we will not charge you anything!

See you there!

PUSH has become a great Event. We will do something special for this Event. We are not sure what that will be yet, but it will be more than serving up some PegasosPizza to the Participants! :)

R&B :D

I haven't heard of many 'Alternative' computer parties.
The demoparties and game parties are 99% Windows
today and that doesn't really interest us Non-Windows
users.

Ronin: Perhaps you could organize a similar event of
your own in Australia? It's really not that hard -- if
you have a small crew. The first time is the hardest
for everything..

The first step would be to garner support for linux, show people its capabilities and give out liveCDs..... The main problem is that i wouldn't know where to advertise to get it recognised (i live in western australia) plus i dont have the money to organise it (location, electricity, food etc) atm. But it would be a good thing...... done right.

I agree of all the LAN parties ive gone to, only about a third even know of linux and less than that, use it.

Well I only know eastern Australia (Sydney, Brisbane, Cairns...).

Well I'm closer to PUSH than you (France/Rennes), but I guess that would be a bit expensive for me too :/

Too bad, as this party looks quite interesting for Pegasos users...

if you ever come to australia, the west coast is one of the best places in australia because it has yet to become overrun by tourists.

I might look into creating something similar to PUSH in the future given the resources (esp. time)
