Sounds really good! An i.mx6-based laptop is like my *dream* laptop.

Are you considering making a 13" model? Personally, that would be my preferred screen size. I've heard others requesting it as well.

In fact I dream a 13 inch 1300x768 pixel LCD inch model could be very interesting, with a very thin border , slim ultrabook, quad-core imx6 1.2Ghz, with 4G of ram, SSD, HDMI, VGA (micro with adapter), USB3 , 3G option, ultra fast SD slot.

And a more cheaper 10 inch...

And a 7" tablet with a PixelQI or Mirasol display and HDMI out, which could be a perferct e-reader and personal media player in a single unit. I use now an e-ink based e-reader (see http://czanik.blogs.balabit.com/2012/01 ... g-e-books/ ), but I start to feel its limitations. It's fantastic for reading books, but only for that.

Reading the digital form of magazines like http://bsdmag.org/ or eWeek, it's slow on a traditional e-reader and color is badly missing. A fast CPU and a display which can be switched from e-paper mode to full color could solve these problems.

Also, reading an article and then using a separate device to read related web pages or watch a related YouTube video is not so optimal. Doing so on the big screen if available is a lot better -> HDMI output.

A 7" device is big enough to read easily and small enough to carry everywhere and hold in hand. Combining it with a strong IMX6 would make it the perfect all in one PMP. Add a GPS and some maps, and also a good companion on the road or in the mountains. A lot more practical, than the 1.5 m2 (12 square feet) tourist maps I have :-)

Very exciting news!

I don't know, maybe it's too early to ask, but I wonder if there are already some defined specifications for the upcoming products, like will they use single core or dual core CPUs, etc.

I myself didn't expect this to that extent, but I'm liking my Efika MX smartbook a lot, so I wonder what the future version would be like.
