Then you should check it again! OpenSUSE 11.0 will have openJDK and IcedTea, and they seem to work fine in most cases, even the browser plugins.

i dont have any java or flash installed on my ibook, dont miss it.

A lot of people miss Flash. Not so much Java these days.. but it's still important.

Well we put back the 5121E design so it won't be at the July Freescale Technology Forum in Orlando like we wanted, but this just means more time to iron out the quirks.

how is the MPC8610 design going ? i wanted to wait for the new hardware to come out. thinking about buying the current efika and checking it out.

We're performing software testing right now, on the Freescale development boards. Without Linux working properly and the patches still in flux there is not a decent framework to judge driver stability, setup and the work needed on that side of things, so that is where we are now with that.

Hardware is a question for another department :D

Peter is getting SuSE up and running today, hopefully :)

java works fine, i have both eclipse and jboss running on ibm's jdk. so that's probably off the list.
