hello folks I recently tried the GeexBox on X86 and saw that the PPC version was out as well. That would be wonderful to have it running on Pegasos. Unfortunately i trid to boot the kernel but failed. I'm far from being a specialist so i'd like to know if someone succeeded in running it on Peg. Geexbox is a very small distro (5mo on X86, 11Mo on PPC) who boots on a standalone mediaplayer (DVD, Divx...). Very nive to have it on a USB stick. |

Hi! I gave it a quick try a week ago, too. Only included the initrd into the kernel, but unfortunately this wasn't enough... I hope I' done soon with my freevo-live, which maybe isn't setup as professional as geexbox, but at least has tv-out and works (exclusively) on peg cheers frostwork |

It uses yaboot to boot, which I never could get to work on a Pegasos (it works fine on a Mac). I'll try to change the ISO file to include an OF bootable kernel. Now it is the same, as on openSUSE (vmlinux + initrd) so I will try to use their script to combine these two files into one bootable kernel image. CzP |

Hi! @czp That's almost the same I tried without success. I guess a complete kernel recompile could do better... frostwork |
