Hi everyone, well, apart from my sound issues (doesn't work with the integrated pegasos 2 audio chip, works partly with my sb live), my MOL installation worked pretty OK. However, I realized when launching Heroes of Might & Magic 4 that 16 bits screens (radeon 9xxx) were not displayed properly : they look too green. In molrc.video, if I set the initial startup mode to be in 16 bits, it also looks green. Does anyone have any idea ? (debian sarge unstable kernel 2.6.11) |

Hi Mahen, Sound issues are cureable, in the /etc/molrc.macosx - select the sound driver as OSS. Disable the Alsa and any. OSS is the fastest. Your colour screen issue is a common problem with the latest Radeon cards (7000,8500 are not effected). Mol needs to be adjusted to sort this problem out, so there's nothing you can do about this problem at the moment!. Just use 32bit mode instead. Hopes this answers you questions? Pegxlin DEV Quote:

Hi ! Thanks for replying I'll give it a try, thanks As far as I recall, I got worse perfs with OSS but I'll try again ! Regarding MOL, I wonder if it's still being developed, as Apple drops the PPC, maybe fewer will be motivated to improve it... Thanks again, - mahen |
