Today I gave MeeGo ( http://www.meego.com/ ) a try. It has also an ARM version for the Nokia N900. I downloaded a preview from http://repo.meego.com/MeeGo/devel/n900/ ... 626.tar.gz , extracted it to an SD card. First I tried just chrooting to it, and all the tested binaries worked without a problem. Then I booted it wit the latest kernel ( http://blog.efikamx.info/2010/04/kernel ... 3-er1.html ). First I got some ugly kernel messages on screen and on serial console, then a black screen with a single xterm came up. Keyboard or mouse did not work, the machine rebooted automagically in a few minutes. |

That seems to be where MeeGo is up to right now. In their PR they basically say you get a terminal.

This is what I get: Code:
[ 10.340000] mxc_wdt: Unexpected close, not stopping!
With modules available the message seems to be the same (with module names listed).

Quote: This is what I get:
This may be the cause right there (first error!) and there may be a fix in the latest BSP, I'm checking but I am sure I remember a watchdog update of this kind..
