NetBSD 2.0 doesn't work on Pegasos II, does it? I have just downloaded ofppc.iso (NetBSD 2.0 for Open Firmware PowerPC machines), but there is no boot image for Pegasos II. Where it wiil be available? Thanks.

There's an ongoing effort to port it. It is now capable of mounting root, but we have problems with disk and ethernet. Contact me if you want to help.

I downloaded it but I must confess I stole the disk from my Pegasos to experiment with a RAID array (needed 3 of the same disk :). Now that disk is sitting idle on my desk.. and the Pegasos still diskless, and other work beckons.

I'd appreciate any work anyone here did on seeing if it really works :D

well...not much to say for now, the cd boots, takes you to the netbsd installer, but i didn't go further. Whatever HD i use (i tried 4 of them) the installer fails at writing the partitions. I tried different partitioning schemes but still get an error, even by following carefuly the netbsd partitioning instructions.
The installer asks for the number of sectors, cylinders etc.. that the BIOS (OpenFirmware in our case) uses to read the HD. I have no clue what to put there.
