I run MOL 0.9.70 with MacOS X 10.2. When i select "Eject CD" in the MacOS menu CD is not ejected, console log says "CD eject" then "CD inserted" and CD is remounted again. I can eject the CD only with "eject" command from Linux side and after this MacOS stops recognising disk change at all. How to fix? |

Same problem here on Gentoo. I guess the CD is locked by MoL, so that you can't eject from inside MoL. When the development on MoL starts again (did anybody saw Samuel in the last six months?), probably this could be fixed. |

Do you have any automounter software running on linux side by any chance? ie. when you put cd in then both linux and Macos both mount it, but when mac tries to eject then linux will not allow it. |

Yes, i have MagicDev running. Is there any way to fix the things without removing automounter? May be Supermount is the solution? BTW, can i use HFS partition in MOL it it's mounted at the same time from Linux side? Or i must unmount it first? Or may be MOL unmounts it for me upon startup? I want to create a comfortable working environment for my wife who'll need to be able to exchange data between Linux and MacOS side without quitting/mounting/unmounting. She will use a printer from Linux side and CorelDraw! from Mac side. Or can i set up MacOS to print on my printer using Linux drivers? P.S. I can't use gnome-volume-manager because udev behaves badly with my ZIP250 drive. |

HiHo! CD-eject only works if the cd is recognized as a scsi-device under both linux and mol: ide-scsi parameter in OF -linux-boot and activated ide-scsi and sg (or similar modules)... You can use a partition on both linux and mol, but it'll be readonly on one side... I had some trouble with using a hfs-partition under linux (well it worked but mol got confused after some times - not sure if it had s.th. to with mouning under linux...?) You could use a FAT-partition for MOS/linux/MOL.... good luck |

To share files between linux and mol i've setup Samba server into linux and mol then mounts that share to which it has r/w access that works rather well locally. |
