The MorphOS team just announced support for the Efika. See http://www.morphzone.org/modules/news/a ... oryid=1305

That is indeed very good news. MorphOS and Efika are fitting together like "Arsch auf Eimer" as some say in German (I better don't translate that).

Is there a roadmap to the next MOS release now or does it come when it comes?

It seems that MorphOS 1.5 will not be ready for Efika developer program. I've got an information on #morphos, that developer Efikas will be shipped without MorphOS, it will be available later via some sort of registeration process.

The good news here in our estimation can be best summarized here:

All media that exists can be displaced by the growing use and prominence of the Internet and a gateway to it (the platform). Here is the nexus of value creation for the next ten years. Think about it: i) large disenfranchised non-internet populations due to a lack of technology *and* written/spoken language barriers, ii) exceptionally fast adoption of the internet vs. traditional media, iii) opportunity to communicate in all the senses through a broadband connection (eliminating illiteracy as a barrier), iv) everything that implies. How do you use a computer (there are many examples of opportunity and improvement) and what could it do to improve life/society? There is huge opportunity there. Not to mention access to on demand television programming. People watch programs, not networks. The network is just a pipeline. Change the pipe, change the rules, dominate the market.

That is from Is It a Hard Pill to Swallow?. Check it out if you have the time. Can MorphOS do more with less of a processor than the alternatives? We think so and we hope MorphOS will be quick to demonstrate this ability.
