Hello
I am trying use IBMJava2-SDK-142.ppc.tgz in a PowerPc 440 GX with Montavista.
When I try the command ./java - version the error Illegal instruction (core dumped) occurs.
Can you please help me?

In Pegasos (G4) the same problem is solved by defining the following environment variable:

JITC_PROCESSOR_TYPE=6

Unfortunately, I don't know about 440GX, so you will probably have to try out several options.
