A good number of new projects were approved. Please check if you were one of them and write a blog :)

These units will ship within the next two weeks. We have had many unexpected and unfortunate delays (see Efika MX blog). Often with such a new chipset (see yesterday's Freescale announcement) this can be expected, but there were many other obstacles. Nevertheless, the net result is that we are going to have a solid product shipping in much greater volume than what we experienced with the first Efika. This time, we will be working in significant multiples of volume and much more opportunity.

R&B :)

Been 2 weeks and no sign of it here... I'm in no real hurry, just thought I should mention it.

Yes, sorry Luke. We were still having some software challenges, but they *will* go out this week.

In the meantime, are there any datasheets, SoC technical details, example driver code, etc that I could start working with/planning for?

OK, the last few Approved Project systems go out today. The rest are on the way. Those going to US destinations will be delivered today.

@Luke-Jr. Please communicate with us directly on what you need.

R&B :)

The next batch of developer systems with the 2.6.31 kernel will be shipped this week. A few more Projects have been approved.

As soon as we have Aura ready in January, we will ship the third batch. If your Project has been approved and you don't have a system yet, you should soon. The only delay we might have is we are out of serial boards, but we are working on that.

R&B :)

Hi there,

Is there any way to get some details about the project approval process?
Our project at Mandriva has been marked "under review" for a few months already:
http://projects.powerdeveloper.org/project/imx515/763

We already have an ongoing ARM port for the Mandriva Linux distribution, and we are really looking forward supporting the i.MX515 platform.

Thanks in advance!
(sorry if I am a bit hijacking the thread)

We're working on it, there is a lot to get ready before we approve batches of project developers since some may have requirements above and beyond shipping a board :)
