I want to use 2 EFIKAs as WAN-to-WAN routers, using either OpenSSH or OpenVPN. It seems, in both cases tun-devices are needed.

Examining the kernel configuration, starting from linux-2.6.19-rc6_config, by means of "make menuconfig", I find
<*> IP: tunneling
is on.

Questions: Where should I find the tunnel device driver? Or how should I set up tun0?

Hi.

Did you also enable "Universal TUN/TAP device driver support" in "Network device support" (under "Device Drivers")?

Best regards,
Johan

I found the item in the menuconfig!
It's *NOT* set!
Next step: I will set it on, and try that!

Thanks a lot!
