TIA,
Last I heard PCI domain support was *TOTALLY* broken in xorg-server-1.4 - they even made a release note entry about it which is odd, because it's been broken forever and they never bothered.

Something is up, but the "big PCI rework" should be done in 1.5 and we should all be happy :D

You waited 4 years for it until now, a few more months won't hurt :)

Ian Romanick's patchset is available online somewhere or other (maybe this one? http://gitweb.freedesktop.org/?p=xorg/l ... ;a=summary) and might be a solution. I'm sure I saw a rollup of the diffs against 1.4 somewhere..

mmh... pci-rework is now libpciaccess. A lot of xorg drivers already support libpciaccess but xorg-server-1.4.x doesn't use it. It's used in xorg-server-1.5.x .

I was unable to find a a diff against 1.4.

ok, it's fixed, now it seems to work fine with direct rendering too.

I must investigate a bit again. This 'll be included in the next coming 2.4pre9 ISO.
