Your FedEx mail might have been filtered by SpamAssassin.
The mailserver I use tagged it with high spam-points but
that server forwards them anyway, they change the subject
though.. If it would have been set to delete the mail I
would never have gotten it..

I found it in my spam-box out of luck.

Most people were sent an email. This email was generated by the FedEx system. If you did not provide an email address, then your notification of shipment will be the arrival of the package. Not all boards have shipped yet. If there has not been a login to your account in some time, you would have been sent an email from us asking if you are interested. If you did not have all the information filled out or there was something we misunderstood you would have be skipped in the first pass. We also processed registrations by section, focusing on lower level (closer to the processor) work first.

Please send us an email with your Profile link and Project page.

In any case, we hope to have shipped 98% of the boards by the end of the day Monday, 11 December.

NOTE: we have had some problems in Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Portugal and Italy with Customs. In Poland, they want the Commercial Invoice in Polish. This is problematic, because there was no charge for the board. In Hungary and Portugal, some people have been charged COD (we will get this money back!). In Italy we had delays for both these reasons, but we have worked them out. Every country seems to have its issues (normal). There are nearly 400 boards in the system now. It may take time to work things out. Send us an email if you have specific problems or questions.

R&B :)

It seems to be not so easy to get an Efika in Poland. I had another phone, it seems that the customs cannot believe someone is sending a computer for free. "If there is an Commercial Invoice - it must be a payment". Also I've been asked "What? So small computer? And it costs $99?". Explaining them that it is a special one was very time consuming task. A woman has been also very surprised that I have no fax number... Another point was that it is stated in papers Efika is produced in Germany (so EU), but is sent from USA. Now I'm a bit puzzled, as I'm not good at international trade laws, and those women are talking so fast (I guess their boss charges them for phone calls or what :-/).

Wow, I've just got another email from FedEx. They've sent me a scanned Commercial Invoice from USA with no single word of explanation. What I'm supposed to do with it? Print, frame and hang above my bed?

Hi Grzegorz, we have been having some difficulties in Poland. It appears they want to see the Commercial Invoice in Polish sometimes too. You may have to translate it! :) The first packages made it through earlier today. The rest should follow.

Hi radiazo, have you registered a Project? What is the link to your profile?

I don't know, maybe I'm wrong but isn't it possible to put 0$ value on the invoice? When I sometime order samples from dallas-maxim or national semiconductors they put 0$ on invoice and a 'FREE SAMPLES' label :)

That's the first time when Customs Office is doing this kind of problems, but I'm not very surprised though.

Well, it seems I'm having some custom problems in Greece too.

Just got a call from FedEx, said my package was at customs, and of course they asked for import taxes. FedEx said that they will contact Genesi about it. Hopefully it will be sorted out either by Genesi or me :D

Yes, we have had problems in Greece, but they will get through. It takes a couple of extra days.

My Efika made it through the customs finally. I hope it will be at my home in a day or two :-). You would not believe what was the problem... I've got a scan of paper sent from Customs to FedEx, they stated, they opened the package and there is "Efika 2.3" inscription on the board, while it is named "Efika 5200B" on the invoice. I had to explain, that "Efika 2.3" is just a production version of the mainboard, while "Efika 5200B" is the marketing name.

Stealing this thread, since I have similar problems. Shipment to Slovenia here.

I was contacted by what looks like local delivery company for fedex.
They are me charging VAT (out of 99$?), "storaging" and I think delivery. It all amounts to about 80$. Is this normal, and I should just pay, or can I do something else (and if, what?).
