i am getting crazy ,,,with DEBIAN ;-)
i have my DVD-Burner on hdc....but if i try to mount it i have
special device /dev/hdc does not exist
into /dev there is no hdc ,,or sr0 but i have another folder
.dev with all devices in there if i try to delete /dev my computer
crashed....

how can i build the needed device ? hdc or sr0 for scsi ?

seems to me after a apt-get upgrade all is broken in here ?

I'm not sure but I remember I had to put this in //etc//lilo.conf before the image= option :
append="hdc=ide-cd max_scsi_luns=1"

then in my //etc//fstab, simply :
//dev//cdrom /cdrom iso9660 ro,user,noauto 0 0

upsss..i dont have lilo on Pegasos

anyway DVD is now Scsi /sr0 in Linux but in MOL it is still
normal DVD..so i cant get it to be recognized...
i also have problems to eject my CD..

hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Oh sorry, I did not think enough! Lilo is certainly not on pegasos :] Try using the arguments within the quotes of the append option as an argument to the boot command with your kernel ... just an exemple:

boot linux-2.6.5.img video=radeonfb:1280x1024@76 root=//dev//hda2 hdc=ide-cd max_scsi_luns=1

hmm after a new kernel build scsi works...so some times you have to go to underground to find a solution:-))

I guess you enabled that broken ide-scsi stuff, instead of properly
configuring MOL to use the atapi burner, as i hear is possible.

The device would be /dev/scd0 then, i think, and you should look at the dmesg
output to make sure.
