I am looking for a linux OS to put on my Power Mac 8600/200. I was recommended to PowerPPC, however looking at PowerPPC's site, I find a few different distros, so I tried Gentoo having heard possitive feedback from it, however I tried it, and the CD wont boot on my Power Mac. I also thought about trying Crux, I have heard good things about it, but I was just curious if there is anything 'special' I have to do to get it to run right.... any PPC linux install? I tried just pressing 'C' to boot from CD, but that doesnt work with my cd... any suggestions? Or recommendations on Operating Systems if I have chose incorrectly? Thanks
