Hi,
I have a need to run a PPC linux on my Pegasos 2 G4 to do some tests.
I would like the easier distro to install and use.

Yesterday night I booted gentoo on a liveCD but I realized that it may not be the easier one.
Today I downloaded YDL with instructions from here: http://www.terrasoftsolutions.com/realw ... scale/bsp/

It installed fine but when I want to boot it the system logger is getting stuck for 5 min at bootup time and then I have tons of messages in a loop:
KDSKBENT: Invalid argument
failed to bind key 255 to value 3129
INIT: Id "x" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes

I could get out of this with opening an alternative shell with alt F2 but I don't know the root PW.

What are my best options ?

Hi!
I'd still recommend debian, although gentoo becomes more and more used on my sys...
