Hi,

I'm compiling compat-wireless to make an AP out of my efika smarttop. I cannot find the linux-headers-2.6.31.14.24-efikamx package. I can see linux-headers-2.6.31.14.20-efikamx which is an older version exists, so is it missing?

Hi.

Yes, they are still missing - we're working on getting all the packages sorted.

In the mean time, you could just grab the sources from the git repo:
https://gitorious.org/efikamx/
and manually add a simlink from /usr/src/linux to the kernel sources.

Johan.

Thanks for the quick reply. For 2.6.31.14.24, which tag should I download? I just see 2.6.31.14 tag in there, without the 24 part ...

Hi.

The master branch will do fine.

Johan.

Everything went well in compiling, but I get this kernel panic while wireless is running in AP mode, using hostapd:

can it be related to the different version of the running kernel and the newer sources?

Ouch. rt2x00 doesn't work so well on 2.6.31 - we're about to release a 2.6.38 (or better!) kernel though where it WILL work properly as a client, but hostapd is something else entirely...

OK thanks, will be waiting for the new kernels. But other than that panic, my smarttop is running as an AP without any major problem for a day(it hanged up once, but working OK after that).
