Is this true that Genesi Smarttop drain more electricity if we use them in a wireless network ?

We are working on project expansion in Karatu - Tanzania and we were concern about out increase more of solar panel to meet the demand.

It really depends on how far away you are from the router; longer distances make the card AND the router boost antenna gain slightly to compensate (especially in transmission, and it's based on the reception strength measured in theory) but I cannot imagine or recall for that matter based on testing that it did a great deal to power consumption; our meters are sensitive to .5W jumps only and it made it jiggle between 3/4 and 5/6 watts. So maybe 250-300mW for wireless and a little extra CPU for encryption?

You would draw more power plugging in a USB flash drive.
