While messing around I managed to delete the Adobe Flash Player off my Smarttop.

It seems it is not part of the ubuntu depository, so I need information on where to download it, and the proper install sequence to put it back on.
Thanks
Carl

I haven't found any official Adobe Flash so far (even if one should be coming up), but gnash should take care of most banner trash at least :) Package names browser-plugin-gnash for Firefox and konqueror-plugin-gnash for the rest.

Thanks for the suggestion, the only thing I found mentioned on the web, was adobe was only releasing arm code to the various arm device manufactures. I was hoping that there might be a deb package of it.

So I might have to do a re-install of the SmartTop image, which I beleive will have the adobe player on it. I know for sure it was on the SmartBook when I got it.

Cheers Carl

I don't think it's for the general public, but only for selected developers or such. Maybe you were one of those?

Flash Player for the i.MX5x is a work-in-progress at Freescale and Adobe. As soon as it passes Adobe certification for Freescale, we intend to certify the Efika MX for Flash and start offering Flash as a free-to-all update. We cannot comment on specific acceleration and performance at this stage.

Matt thanks for the update on the adobe flash player status. The smartbook did a trip with me this week and preformed well, really liking it and the smarttop.
