My "comment" at http://blog.efikamx.info/2011/03/packag ... itory.html is gone again... Ok, it is more such as a help request:

-ke- said...

[I think something went wrong with my comment and it vanished somehow.]

I need a little bit help, please. This is what I did (I'm not familiar with the Ubuntu tools...):

apt-add-repository 'deb http://packages.efikamx.info/ maverick main universe'
apt-get update
apt-get upgrade

but it does not offer packages from the new repo as updates. Must I remove some old repos?

apt-add-repository is a bit quirky. The best solution is to
Code:
sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list.d/efikamx.list
And add the line:
Code:
deb http://packages.efikamx.info/ maverick main universe
Remove any references to the repository from the end of /etc/apt/sources.list as they will conflict.

To add the key, follow the instructions in the blog dated March 3rd.

Thanks, thus far it works. ('apt-get update' hits http://packages.efikamx.info maverick/main and maverick/universe). But it still does not install a new kernel if I call apt-get upgrade.

In sources.list I have also ports.ubuntu.com with maverick and maverick-updates listed.

Hi All,

Since yesterday I'm getting this error when trying to refresh repository index:

Nie udało się pobrać (= in english Not able to download)
http://packages.efikamx.info/dists/maverick/Release Unable to find expected entry main/source/Sources in Meta-index file (malformed Release file?)

EDIT: my mistake - I had source code repositories configured as well

So you're seeing the updates now? Please note that if you're using the latest image, there won't be many updates (although we're planning on pushing some updates soon)

Yes, everything seems fine now. Thanks. :) BTW, this happened because I used synaptic to add the repository - synaptic seems to add source code repository by default when adding packages repository.
