Dug out my Efika after about half a year only to be once again stuck trying to get that stupidly loose fitting riser and my 9250 working with it again.

All the hardware, picoPSU etc are the same as before obviously and working fine (AGP card tested in PC and so on), and the drive which was set to autoboot morphOS still sounds to do so, but after four hours I'm damned if I can get even the OF prompt to show up, let alone morphOS itself.

Tried with several monitors, all of which worked fine with it before, replaced the CMOS battery with a brand new one. Tried resetting it repeatedly, nothing. Reseated the card and riser about a dozen times, but I absolutely cannot get it to sit right that the Efika itself will give me a video signal.
I have no serial cable to debug - besides this was problematic in the past and is clearly the same issue now.

Anyone got any advice on getting a decent connection between the board, riser, card? I used to prop it up slightly using some plastic between the HDD and graphics card but even that seems to no longer be working...

Nope. No picture at all. Used to get one, now nothing ever.
Five hours now spent trying to get the damned riser and AGP card sitting at the exactly perfect angle the Efika seems to require. Giving up soon I think..

It sounds very much like you need a new riser card - I would suggest you send the whole board back us, so we can make sure. If you need a new riser it will be part of the warranty repair.

We will contact you privately with details.

You can buy the riser direct from http://www.adexelec.com/pci32.htm#PCITX4-5 - just give them a call, they take credit cards.

Make sure you get a 3.3V *A side* riser (or a 5.0V B side, they're reversible in that sense).

A PCI graphics card in the UK.. try Maplin or a local computer store (I mean the little independent ones).

Nope. They're very friendly and we've always recommended them for PCI risers for the Efika :)

http://en.gentoo-wiki.com/wiki/Efika#PCI_Riser_cards

The links are broken but the product names are correct.
