From the SmartFirmware documentation:
Quote:
oem-logo
Bitmap: 64x64x1 (512 bytes). The bitmap to display if "oem-logo?" is true. The contents may be
machine-dependent.'
The full document is located at http://www.pegasosppc.com/manuals/SFUserManual.pdf

Essentially, it just seems to be a monochrome (1-bit) bitmap, 64x64 in size. Hope that helps!

Sure you can have logos/gfx on OF 1.2. You can also have tones or "music" in your startup. Get yourself a manual on the FORTH programming language and you are set to go. :)
