Has anyone tried using Efika as a PVR?

I have doubts whether it can be possible. To use it as a PVR, I need a tuner. A PCI TV Card is out of question as PCI slot is occupied with AGP riser and connected gfx card. Even not, I doubt the voltage is compatible.

That leaves me with the option of USB TV Cards. Here I again have doubts because of the USB 1.1 on Efika. I am not sure it can supply the bandwidth needed.

The rest of the TV Cards use the PCMCIA or the cardbus used in notebooks. I have no idea how one could connect those to Efika.

The Efika could be a very nice PVR -at least for analog- with its small size and infrared option.

Currently I'm trying to build up a PVR system with an Efika, a Pegasos on Linux Gentoo + MythTV software.

Pegasos : Hauppauge PVR350. Configured as the backend server.

Efika : no TV tuner. Configured as the frontend server.

Still working on it...

This appears one of the ONLY ways to convert an EFIKA to a pvr unit. Are you using the PVR350 with framebuffer in xorg? Is it working?
