If you meant ps3...
well:
- given the efika is a tiny little system for doing specific stuff, cross developing on it for a bigger system doesn't make sense at all (the other way round will, more on it later)
- YDL is a rpm based distribution that aims at desktop and some sort of deepcomputing, cross development isn't exactly its thing.
- IIRC YDL doesn't have a G3 port so it won't run (I could be wrong).
Some other remarks:
- the ps3 is a ppc64 platform with the addition of SPU, YDL and Fedora seems to be provided as ppc32 (good choice for user desktop since it is better tested, poor choice if you want to improve the ppc64 experience and/or do some ppc64 development)
- if you want just have the ps3 boot a distribution, ANY ppc32/ppc64 distribution will work given you use a proper kernel, at least to a point
In short:
YDL should be good for desktop usage but won't be that interesting for development, probably won't run on the efika because of optimization incompatibility, it is a rpm based distribution like fedora (so you'll get the same using fedora now if you are into rpm and desktop oriented distros) and doesn't add anything development wise to the other offerings.
Note that I'm obviously biased since I'm developing the Cell/ps3 support for a development oriented, fully moldable, (meta)distribution known as Gentoo...
