Sound behaves very strange. I'm running 10.10 with additional software from the default repositories.

Sometimes the SB plays the first seconds of an MP3 files, but it is hard to hear.

Using headphones it is a little bit louder, but still not loud enough. Even if I move all(?) "output volume" sliders to the right.

If I double-click an MP3 file, totem starts (instead of rhythmbox?).

Even "Speaker Testing" from the "Sound Preferences" does not result in audio output.

Must I enable something somewhere?
